Certified Emergency Response Team

 

CERT members are those who are people who are called upon when a large disaster occurs.  The attack of the world trade centers in New York had medical first responders, CERT members, and the professional fire fighters, EMT, nurses, doctors, police, and possibly on or off duty military personals.  

 

As the name implies, the certified emergency response team is an actual group of people who each have their specialties.  The group leader calls everyone in their group to a certain location.  There are also restrictions in the guide book to keep them from getting injured since these people are not all qualified to take care of some scenarios, and are not properly geared.  Some limitations include hazard warning numbers and large fires.  Any number greater than one should be a stop sign for CERT members.
